Academic Boosters
Wakulla Academic Boosters was founded by Walter C. Dodson Jr. and Mike Carter in February of 1979 to promote academic excellence, recognize good scholarship and reward deserving students with scholarship assistance.
Today the Academic Boosters acts like a typical boosters organization for a sport- except all Wakulla County students are on our team. We serve as stewards for the scholarships that have been endowed and sponsor events that promote academic excellence.

Be a Booster
Being a booster in the Wakulla Academic Boosters allows the organization to continue to support and encourage the students of Wakulla County. Booster dues and additional donations increase scholarship endowments, provide students with needed supplies, and sponsor events showcasing academic excellence.
Scholarships
Wakulla Academic Boosters stewards 42 different scholarships. Initial endowments were made by local individuals and businesses who wanted to encourage students to continue their education and then give back to their local community. The Wakulla Academic Boosters are always working to increase these scholarships.
